Accounting
The program provides preparation for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination, the Certificate in Management Accounting, and other professional certifications.
Of the required upper division ACCT courses (ACCT 302 , ACCT 315 , ACCT 316 , ACCT 327 , ACCT 413 , ACCT 414 , ACCT 415 , ACCT 417 , and ACCT 425 ), no more than two may be transferred from another AACSB institution.
Business Analytics
The Business Analytics major educates students in the theories and methods of analyzing large volumes of data for gaining competitive advantages and strategic insights in today’s business world.
Management Information Systems
The Management Information Systems (MIS) major is designed to prepare students for careers that leverage information technology in a business environment, enabling graduates to use information systems to manage the organization.
Of the required courses (MISY 250 , MISY 261 , MISY 225 , MISY 330 , MISY 410 , MISY 408 , MISY 430 , MISY 431 , MISY 432 , MISY 450 , and two MISY electives), no more than two may be transferred from another AACSB institution.
Minors
The Business Analytics minor assists students with developing skills in the growing field of analytics. The program emphasizes statistics, oral and written communication, structured decision-making, data visualization and relational databases.
The Management Information Systems (MIS) minor is designed to provide students with an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the three interrelated areas of Management Information Systems: Business Foundations, Information Technology, and Project Management/Hands on Experience, and to explore the rapidly expanding field of computer-based management information systems.
