Finance (BS)

Additional Breadth Requirements:

  • Additional six credits from Creative Arts and Humanities and/or History and Cultural Change and/or foreign language instruction.
  • Additional six credits from Social & Behavioral Sciences (excluding ECON 101 ECON 103 BUAD 301 , and BUAD 309 ).
  • Additional seven credits from Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology, including one Lab credit (ECON 415 , CISC, STAT, and MATH courses may not apply).


Only one of MISY 261  or ACCT 302  will count towards graduation.

Finance Core:

Students must earn a grade of C- or better in FINC 311  and all but one of the required FINC courses.

Professional Electives:

  • Three credits from ACCT, BUAD, ENTR, FINC, or MISY (300-level or higher) (ACCT 302 , ACCT 350  and ACCT 351  may not apply).


After required courses are completed, sufficient credits must be taken to meet the minimum credits required for the degree. Electives courses can be chosen from inside or outside the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics, and no more than two credits from BHAN 120  may apply.
