EDUC 453 - Assessment of Linguistically Diverse Learners

This course will explore the critical intersection between assessment and instruction for multilingual learners (MLs). Students will use assessment principles to examine and understand a variety of assessments for MLs, including classroom-based, standardized, and language proficiency assessments. Students will analyze test results to inform data-driven instruction and explore the consequences of assessments, test score interpretation, and policies that govern state and federal assessments for MLs.
