ENGL 425 - Climate Fiction, Science, and Communication Credit(s): 3 CLIMATE FICTION, SCIENCE & COM Component: Discussion How can fiction help us understand and apply science? In this interdisciplinary class, we’ll use climate fiction, climate change science, journalism reports, movies, and research on science communication to understand the role narratives can play in creating visions of the future and motivating us to take action. Students will learn to integrate across disciplines and explore how narratives in fiction and non-fiction writing shape public perceptions of scientific research.
