PSYC 486 - Trauma and Resilience

TRAUMA AND RESILIENCE
Component: Lecture
This course will focus on research related to: 1) the psychological and biological effects of trauma and adversity, 2) treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder and related depression and suicidality, 3) the process of recovery, and 4) factors that promote mental health and resilience.

PREREQ: Minimum grade of C- in PSYC 100 , PSYC 207 , and PSYC 209  or its substitutions (SOCI301, STAT200, MATH202, MATH205).
