SOCI 452 - Drugs and the Criminal Justice System Credit(s): 3 DRUGS & THE CRIM JUST SYSTEM Component: Lecture Covers both drug and criminal justice issues, focusing on the drugs-crime nexus and the criminal justice system response. Examines issues of race, gender, victimization, international policy, and new policy responses including drug treatment, harm reduction, and restorative justice. Class is held at a local correctional facility, and half the students are inmates.
