Major Requirements:
A minimum grade of C- is needed for all University requirements, technical competency courses, and ENTR-designated courses that are counted toward the fulfillment of degree requirements (NOTE: ENTR160 and ENTR161 are exceptions, as both are graded on a pass/fail basis). Mathematics & Analytics (6 credits)
One of the following: Legal (3 credits)
One of the following: Oral Communication (3 credits)
One of the following: Technology & Computational Thinking (4 credits)
Economics (3 credits)
One of the following: Business Core (21 credits)
Professional Development (3 credits)
Leadership (3 credits)
One of the following: Creativity & Design Thinking (3 credits)
One of the following (only one can count toward degree requirements): Entrepreneurship Core (12 credits)
Entrepreneurship Electives (9 credits)
Nine credits from any combination of 300-level or higher ENTR-designated or ENTR cross-listed courses, including but not limited to:* Capstone Experience (3 credits)
Intrapreneurship (3 credits)
One of the following: Technical Competency (15 credits)
Fifteen credits, including at least six at the 300-level or above, from courses that comprise: (1) an established minor, (2) the disciplinary core of an established major OR (3) a coherent, well-defined area of study and practice. Specific examples of the latter are: - A technical competency in “Human Computer Interaction” might include: ART204, ART215, COMM245, MISY350 and EDUC421.
- A technical competency in ”Holistic Wellness” might include: BHAN155, BHAN202, BHAN301, BHAN332, and LEAD300.
- And a technical competency in “Real Estate Finance” might include: ECON393, ENTR/FINC459, FINC314, FINC317, and POSC355.
A specific course plan for fulfillment of the technical competency requirement should be established during the freshman or sophomore year and must be approved by an advisor for Horn Entrepreneurship. International (3 credits)
One of the following: Free Electives (3+ credits)
Free electives may be taken in any department to bring the total credits to the 121 needed for graduation. Students who plan their schedules carefully may be able to substantially increase free elective credits counted toward the total needed for graduation. Free elective courses may be taken on a pass/fail basis, but no more than three credit hours of pass/fail coursework may be completed in any one semester. No more than two credits of BHAN 120 may apply. Restrictions
Entrepreneurship majors may NOT be simultaneously enrolled in the entrepreneurship minor. However, they may double count a maximum of 3 credits toward the fulfillment of requirements for the social entrepreneurship minor or an entrepreneurship-focused certificate. Credits counted toward the fulfillment of University, Technical Competency and Free Elective requirements are EXEMPTED from this restriction and may be double counted to meet the social entrepreneurship minor or certificate requirements. However, no credits can be triple counted (for example, as fulfilling a university requirement, a technical competency requirement and a minor/certificate requirement).
