Program Requirements:
The four-year curriculum for the Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education contains required graduate courses that prepare the student for the Master in Science curriculum. With this 4+1 plan and the proper scheduling of MS classes, students may enter immediately into the MS program full-time with the possibility of completion within one year.
UD Early Childhood Education (BS) undergraduate majors who are provisionally granted admission to the 4+1 MS HDFS: Concentration in Early Childhood Development and Inclusive Education and subsequently admitted to the MS HDFS program can waive the requirement to take:
- a) HDFS 411 or HDFS 641, b) HDFS 406 by completing HDFS 606, and c) HDFS 445 by taking HDFS 647.
- For any undergraduate course requirement to be waived, the student needs to earn a grade of B (3.0) or better in the corresponding HDFS graduate course. Refer to www.hdfs.udel.edu for information about application procedures for provisional admission.
