Program Requirements:
Students are required to work with their advisor during their first semester of study and develop a plan of study. The Master of Science in Disaster Science and Management requires 30 credits. The non-thesis option requires 24 credits of graduate level coursework, at least three semesters of seminar ( DISA 680 - Disaster Science and Management Seminar (1cr.) ) (taken at least two semesters at one-credit per semester and one semester as a listener), and four credits of practicum. The thesis option includes 21 credits of graduate level courses, at least four semesters of seminar ( DISA 680 - Disaster Science and Management Seminar (1cr.) ) (taken at least two semesters at one-credit per semester and two semesters as a listener), one credit of practicum, and six credits of thesis. Study abroad is strongly encouraged for both options.
