PHYS 461 - Data Science for Physical Scientists Credit(s): 3 DATA SCI FOR PHYS SCIENTISTS Component: Lecture This course will introduce data driven inference in the physical sciences. Examples of machine learning methods applied to current problems in Physics and the Natural Sciences. Basic computational skills, knowledge of statistical analysis, error analysis, good practices for handling, processing, and analyzing data and (including big-data) programmatically, and communication and visualization skills will be acquired.
