PHYS 403 - Electricity and Magnetism I Credit(s): 3 ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM I Component: Lecture First of a two-part sequence (with PHYS404) that provides an intermediate level treatment of electrostatics and magnetostatics, as well as an introduction to electrodynamics. Topics include a discussion of different techniques used for the calculation of electrostatic and magnetostatic fields in vacuum and in matter, and effects of time varying electric and magnetic fields.
