NURS 111 - Nursing and Health Promotion Credit(s): 1 NURSING AND HEALTH PROMO Provides a forum to address a vision for nursing practice by examining the history of nursing, roles of the professional nurse, and the importance of an evidence-base for the profession. Introduces the functions of healthcare team members when providing care. Provides opportunity to explore health promotion and disease prevention related to self-care. Students also acquire information on college and school resources and gain practical skills helpful for a successful transition to the nursing curriculum.
