CIEG 663 - Traffic Engineering and Modeling (3cr.) Credit(s): 3 TRAFFIC ENG AND MODELING Component: Lecture Introduction to technical aspects of traffic engineering as applied in everyday projects. Students will explore traffic engineering concepts through practical applications, including the use of software packages such as HCS, Synchro, and VISSIM. Software “black box” will be opened to provide each student the ability to diagnose transportation issues and think critically about analysis results. Students will obtain working knowledge of traffic engineering concepts, theories, and methods needed to execute real-word traffic engineering tasks. Allowed Units: 3 Grading Basis: Student Option PREREQ: CIEG351.
