EDUC 859 - Ethnographic Research (3cr.) Credit(s): 3 ETHNOGRAPHIC RESEARCH Component: Lecture Ethnographies provide descriptive and interpretive analyses of cultural practices and social organization in everyday settings. Students in this course learn how to conduct ethnographic fieldwork. Students formulate research questions act as participant-observers, write field notes, interview participants and conduct rudimentary data analysis. Students also discuss dilemmas faced by ethnographic researchers. Allowed Units: 3 Grading Basis: Student Option
