The Associate in Science in Business Administration is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge, skills, and abilities required for further academic study, most likely within the Lerner College of Business & Economics.
Students will be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively convey business concepts and collaborate in professional settings.
2. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills through the application of quantitative and qualitative methods to business decision-making.
3. A commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth through continuous skill development and engagement with the dynamic business environment.

Program Requirements
All courses except free electives must be completed with a C- or higher to satisfy requirement. No double counting of credits within the program is allowed. Required Business Courses

Social Behavioral Science
Complete a 3 credit Social and Behavioral Sciences course from the University Breadth list.

To satisfy this requirement:
Students interested in Lerner majors in Sport Management, Marketing, Management, and Global Business studies should complete PSYC 100. Students interested in Entrepreneurship should complete ENTR 350. Students interested in Hospitality Industry Management or Hospitality and Event Experience Management should complete HOSP 180. Students interested in other Lerner majors can select any University approved social behavioral science.
Public Speaking and Presentations
Select one of the following courses for public speaking and presentation skills:
Creative Arts and Humanities
Complete three credits from the Creative Arts and Humanities University Breadth list. History and Cultural Change
Complete three credits from the History and Cultural Change University Breadth list.
Creative Arts and Humanities, History and Cultural Change, or Foreign Language
Complete three additional credits of Creative Arts and Humanities, History and Cultural Change, or Foreign Language. Foreign language courses can include ARAB, FREN, CHIN, GRMN, GREK, HEBR, ITAL, JAPN, KORE, LATN, PORT, RUSS, SPAN at the 100-level or above.
Advisement Notes:
Note: Economics BA, Hospitality and Event Experience Management BS, and language-tracks for the Global Business Studies BS require a foreign language.
MATH or Social and Behavioral Sciences

All four-year degrees in the Lerner College (except Management BS, Entrepreneurship BS, Economics BA, Sport Management BS, Hospitality and Event Experience Management BS require completion of MATH221 or MATH241). If intending to pursue these majors, complete MATH221 or MATH241. If math is not required, complete a Social Behavioral Science from the University breadth.
Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology
Complete seven credits from Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology, including one Lab credit.
Advisement Notes:
Students interested in the Hospitality and Event Experience management BS should complete HBNS200 as their non-lab science. For all other programs, any non-lab science is acceptable.
Electives
After required courses are completed, sufficient credits must be taken to meet the minimum credits required.
- No more than two credits can be from HBNS120 .
- If a student elects to take an eligible free elective course Pass/Fail, a maximum of one P/F course (3 to 4-credits) may be taken each semester. This is in addition to courses offered only on a P/F basis. Students can not take more than 12 credits pass/fail for this degree.
- Excess credits from any category above may be applied.
