Program Educational Goals:
- Demonstrate mastery in the core areas of economics: microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics.
- Demonstrate mastery in applied econometrics in various fields of economics.
- Demonstrate understanding of contemporary econometric research methods and topics and issues in economics research.
- Demonstrate ability to replicate existing economics research using appropriate methods.

Requirements for the Degree:
Students in the MS in Economics & Applied Econometrics program complete 30 credits of coursework in Economics as outlined below. Core Courses:
12 credits: Students are required to take the following core courses. Additional Econometrics Course:
3 credits: Students are required to take an addtional econometrics course, which can be one of the following. The other can be used an economic field course or elective. The econometric course requirement cannot also be used as a program elective. Economics Field Courses:
6 credits. Students are required to take at least two of the following economics field courses. Electives:
9 credits: These electives can be satified with additional economics field courses and/or outside the department electives. Non-Economics Department courses must be approved by the Graduate Committee. Credits to Total a Minimum of 30
