Requirements for the Master’s Degree


IV. Conducting Concentration Courses:


Students are required to complete 35 credit hours (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of B or better) to be granted the degree Master of Music: Conducting. All students take the following:

Students specializing in Instrumental Conducting:


Students specializing in Choral Conducting:


Other Requirements:


The culmination of the degree is a public recital (MUSC 600 ), which is preceded by an acceptable recital-approval hearing. In addition, toward the end of the course of study, the student must pass an oral examination.
