Certificate Requirements
The certificate requires the completion 10 credits to satisfy three categories of requirements. The certificate is open to ALL undergraduate students.
Entrepreneurial Skill Building
One of the following:
New Product Development and Practicum
Select a new product development domain and fulfill its requirements by completing one background knowledge course and one practicum course (six credits):
New Food Products Domain:
New Agricultural Goods and Services Domain:
Note:
There is no set list of courses for the “new agricultural goods and services” practicum. Rather, any course that focuses on providing students with a meaningful opportunity to gain first-hand experience in attempting to develop a viable new agricultural product may be used to satisfy this requirement.
To seek approval for a specific practicum, students will be required to submit a request in writing to the certificate’s faculty director. The request should indicate the course being proposed to satisfy the requirement and address how the course activities/project(s) can be expected to satisfy the criterion noted above (i.e., provide a meaningful opportunity…).
