Students follow the curriculum requirements listed in the catalog of the year they were admitted. If the curriculum changes, students may choose to follow the requirements in subsequent catalogs with permission of their assistant dean. Upon matriculation, students have seven calendar years to complete requirements for a bachelor’s degree.
Students who do not complete degree requirements within seven years of their admission will have to follow current degree requirements rather than obsolete degree requirements. When a student is readmitted to the University the student must follow degree requirements in effect at the time of readmission. Students are not eligible to enter programs (majors/minors/concentrations) that have been disestablished by the Faculty Senate if not already declared within those programs prior to the term the disestablishment is effective.
Students can use the Change of Major form to change their catalog year. Assistant deans can submit the form on behalf of students to change the catalog year.
