Entrepreneurial Leadership Certificate

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics

Certificate Requirements:

A total of nine credits is needed to satisfy three categories of requirements. The certificate is open to ALL undergraduate students.

Note:

Course substitutes for the “Leadership Practice” requirement are anticipated and will be allowable if and only if the substitute: (a) provides a meaningful opportunity for students to gain first-hand entrepreneurial leadership experience by bringing people together around a common goal/vision to accomplish something that would not have been accomplished otherwise, and (b) allows students to freely recruit others to join the team(s) they are leading. Examples of courses wherein student projects/activities may meet these criteria include ENTR 364 - Entrepreneurship in Practice: Internship (3cr.)  and LEAD 340 - Leadership Internship (3 to 6cr.) .

Students seeking approval for a course substitute will be required to submit a request in writing to the certificate’s faculty director. The request should indicate the course being proposed as a substitute and address how course activities/project(s) can be expected to satisfy the two criteria noted above.
