CISC 483 - Introduction to Data Mining Credit(s): 3 INTRODUCTION TO DATA MINING Component: Lecture Concepts, techniques, and algorithms for mining large data sets to discover structural patterns that can be used to make subsequent predictions. Emphasis on practical approaches and empirical evaluation. Use of a workbench of data mining tools, such as the Weka toolkit.
