CGSC 170 - Introduction to Cognitive Science

How do minds work?  Could a mind be implemented in a machine?  How does brain insult or injury affect cognitive processes? Cognitive science addresses these types of questions and many others from an interdisciplinary perspective, drawing upon methods and ideas from psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, linguistics, and computer science. This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the field. Along the way, we’ll explore topics such as perception, language, memory, learning, cognitive disorders, and artificial intelligence.
