ECON 304 - Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory with Calculus

This course introduces the foundations of macroeconomic theory using calculus and economic tools. We study the aggregate behavior of consumers and firms and gain a deep understanding of the factors that influence the determination of important macroeconomic variables such as output, employment, wages, and the interest rate. Topics include economic growth, general equilibrium, intertemporal decisions of consumers and firms, unemployment, fiscal policy, and welfare economics. The course emphasizes analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

PREREQ: Must earn C- or better in ECON 103 ECON 301 , and MATH 221 MATH 232 , or MATH 241 . ANTIREQ: Students who received credit in ECON 303  are not eligible to take this course without permission.
