SPAN 326 - Latin American Cultures

LATIN AMERICAN CULTURES

The course explores history, cultures, politics and identities in Latin America and the Caribbean. Topics include the enslavement of Indigenous and African peoples, colonial and modern societies, arts and culture, music and religion, and social issues. Students will gain a fundamental knowledge of the geography, history, and traditions of the region, and develop their writing, oral, and presentation skills in Spanish.
