CIEG 210 - Introduction to Sustainability Principles in Civil Engineering Credit(s): 3 INTRO SUSTAINABLE PRINCIPLES Component: Lecture Introduction to the principles of sustainability in the context of civil engineering design and construction. Presentation of life cycle assessment techniques, including software applications; discussion of “green” building materials; evaluation of specific materials for use in “green” construction; and consideration of various sustainable construction assessment tools, including LEED, Green Globes, and similar standards.
