ECON 422 - Econometric Methods for Causal Analysis Credit(s): 3 ECONOMETRICS & CAUSAL ANALYSIS Component: Lecture This course covers the statistical tools necessary to design and implement empirical economic projects with an emphasis on causal inference. Topics include statistical inference, regression, instrumental variables, randomized controlled experiments, difference in differences, regression discontinuity, and evaluation of government policies and programs. Repeatable for Credit: N Allowed Units: 3 Multiple Term Enrollment: N Grading Basis: Student Option PREREQ: Must earn a C- or better in ECON 300 or ECON 301 ; and ECON 306 .
