GEOL 623 - Methods in GeoscienceCredit(s): 1 METHODS IN GEOSCIENCE Component: Lecture Survey of the field and laboratory methods and associated technology commonly used in the Earth Sciences. Covers a single topic per offering with a range of themes, such as but not limited to the following: nature of spatial data, map interpretation, basic GPS and GIS, remote sensing, microscope analyses, geochemical analyses, research design, field study design and implementation, scientific and technical writing, preparation of oral presentations, and geostatistics.
