MEEG 841 - Microscale Thermal TransportCredit(s): 3 MICROSCALE THERMAL TRANSPORT Component: Lecture The overall goal of the course is to (1) understand how mass, momentum, energy, and charge are stored and transported at the microscopic level for gases, liquids, and solids, (2) learn how to calculate the common thermodynamic and transport properties (e.g. diffusivity,viscosity, heat capacity, thermal conductivity) from microscopic principles, (3) understand how transport properties are modied in nanoscale systems, and (4) understand the operational principles of common energy conversion devices.
