MSEG 611 - Theory, Experiment and Applications in Vibrational SpectroscopyCredit(s): 3 VIBRATIONAL SPECTROSCOPY Component: Lecture Cover the fundamental theoretical and experimental aspects of vibrational spectroscopy including normal modes of vibration and conditions for scattering, absorption and emission. Experimental methods discussed will include: FT-IR, 2D analysis methods, Raman scattering, neutron scattering, tunneling spectroscopies and AFM-IR spectroscopy.
