NURS 695 - Primary Care of Frail/Older AdultsCredit(s): 3 PRIM. CARE FRAIL/OLDER ADULTS Component: Lecture This course prepares the advanced practice nurse for provision of comprehensive, quality, and cost effective care for older adults. Theories of aging, physiology of aging, and the economic, socio-cultural, and ethical aspects of aging will be explored. Students will learn to recognize, evaluate and manage clinical syndromes prevalent in the older adult population. Clinical issues unique to frail/older adults and atypical presentation of disease states will also be explored. Repeatable for Credit: N Allowed Units: 3 Multiple Term Enrollment: N Grading Basis: Student Option PREREQ: NURS 693 and NURS 694 . COREQ: NURS 696 . RESTRICTIONS: Open to FNP and AGNP students only.
