BMEG 665 - Tissue Biomechanics and ModelingCredit(s): 3 TISSUE BIOMECHANICS & MODELING Component: Lecture Introduction to fundamental laws and material models used to describe the mechanical behavior of biological tissues. Application of these models to musculoskeletal tissues. Introduction to numerical methods used to simulate the response of these tissue to physiological loading. Repeatable for Credit: N Allowed Units: 3 Multiple Term Enrollment: N Grading Basis: Student Option PREREQ: BMEG310 or equivalent (statics, strength of materials); MATH305 or equivalent (first order ODE, second order linear ODE, Laplace transform, partial differential equations, use of Matlab as a computational tool). RESTRICTIONS: Open to BME student; other students may take it with the instructor’s permission.
