This course explores the politics and ethics of global humanitarianism. It pursues the following major topics/case studies: war humanitarianism; medical humanitarianism; famine and food aid; asylum seekers, refugees, and the European migration “crisis”; Boko Haram and the social media activism; feminism and gender based humanitarian campaigns; genocide; among others.
