HIST 227 - History of Science Credit(s): 3 HISTORY OF SCIENCE Component: Lecture This course is an overview of the history of the history of science from Ancient Greece, to the “Scientific Revolution,” to the formation of “Big Science” in the twentieth century and beyond. Rather than focusing strictly on scientific theories and how they emerged, we will examine the cultural context of scientific thought. No advantage knowledge of science is necessary.
