FUNDAMENTALS OF MUSIC REVIEW
Component: Lecture
Build fundamental knowledge to enable success in the music theory sequence. Students cover pitch identification, scales, key signatures, rhythm and meter, intervals, and triads to achieve music literacy and fluency. Course is divided between online modules and problem sets assigned in class and for homework. Modules will be connected with a variety of musical styles, genres, and historical periods, including classical, jazz, and popular music. Students must earn passing score in each outcome to earn an overall passing grade.
