MATH 349 - Elementary Linear Algebra Credit(s): 3 ELEMENTARY LINEAR ALGEBRA Component: Lecture Systems of linear equations, matrix algebra and determinants. Vector spaces, linear dependence and independence, basis and dimension. Linear transformations, similarity transformations and diagonalization problems. Inner product spaces and least squares approximation. Emphasizes theory and application to other mathematics areas. Includes computer use for analysis and solution of linear algebra problems.
