Explores best practices for nursing care of children and their families from diverse backgrounds related to child and family development, health promotion and health alterations. Builds on assessment and clinical reasoning skills to effectively communicate within inter-professional teams in a variety of settings. Emphasizes family-centered care as well as the unique developmental needs of infants, children, and adolescents along the continuum of care.
