ELEG 427 - Terahertz and Millimeter-Wave Light Generation and Detection (3cr.)Credit(s): 3 THZ MMW LGT GENERAT & DET Component: Lecture Light is treated as an antenna phenomenon at radio wavelengths and a quantum effect near the visible. At terahertz frequencies and millimeter-wavelengths, these distinctions are blurred and both technologies exist. These technologies are described and a unified view of their principles is provided.
