SOCI 370 - Prison and Prison Subcultures (3cr.)Credit(s): 3 PRISON AND PRISON SUBCULTURES Component: Lecture Provides an intensive examination of the social organization of prisons. Mainly examines how the prisoner subculture shapes and is shaped by social institutions. Special emphasis on how gender and race contribute to differential patterns of adjustment to incarceration.
