Study of speech sounds, from production to perception. Provides a basic introduction to speech articulation, phonetics, speech acoustics, and perception, with a special emphasis on measurement and analysis of the speech signal. Computer-based laboratory exercises in speech recording, digitization, analysis, variation, synthesis and perception.
