A partnership between Division of Professional & Continuing Studies (PCS) and the Department of Communication, we are proposing a noncredit stackable certificate named Strategic Communication Certificate.This proposed program is an introduction to the world of strategic communication practice in the 21st century. This program will provide professional education and training that focus on the fundamental principles a communication professional faces; the theoretical background necessary to understand how to create effective public relations, social media, and handle crisis communication; and the methodological skills required to test and understand the effectiveness of currently implemented campaigns. Graduates of this noncredit stackable certificate program will have the knowledge and skill set to upgrade their existing skills in the field of communication, or supporting the graduates with potentially switching careers to communication related fields. In addition, this program may also prepare graduates to enter the Master of Arts in Strategic Communication program from the Department of Communication.
*This is a non-credit certificate.
