Graduates of the master's program in Electrochemical Engineering (MECHE) will be able to:
- Identify critical scientific questions and technological goals in electrochemical engineering.
- Develop and conduct appropriate experimentation and modeling in electrochemical engineering, analyze and interpret the data, and use engineering judgment to reach conclusions from the results.
- Communicate orally and in writing effectively with diverse audiences.
- Understand the impact of electrochemical engineering in modern society, considering the public’s welfare and cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
- Acquire and apply new knowledge to solve electrochemical engineering problems.

Requirements for the Degree:
The Masters in Electrochemical Engineering degree requires 30 total credit hours of course work. Of these 30 credits, 15 credits consist of core-courses, 6 credits are chosen from an approved list of professional skills courses, and an additional 9 credits from an approved list of technical electives (see below). Other courses could be included after approval by the program director. The program will follow an admissions scheduled that is similar as the one followed by the departments doctoral degree program. To graduate, - All graduate students must maintain a cumulative grade-point index of 3.0.
- Students must earn a grade of B- or higher in all courses counting towards the degree requirement.
