Program Educational Goals:
Graduates of the Master of Public Health in Epidemiology will be able to:
- Utilize foundational public health concepts and core public health competencies (as outlined in MPH program accreditation standards) to meet public health challenges. [Goal 1]
- Select epidemiologic methods and epidemiologic study designs appropriate to address research questions. [Goal 2]
- Apply appropriate data analysis and management techniques to analyze epidemiologic data and present epidemiologic data in appropriate formats. [Goal 3]
- Demonstrate the use of epidemiologic data to inform and evaluate health policies. [Goal 4]

Requirements for the Degree:
Core Courses:
Fifteen (15) credit hours. Required for all MPH concentrations.
Epidemiology Coursework:
Nine (9) credits: Epidemiology Content Courses:
Choose a minimum of two of the following for min. six (6) credits:
Epidemiology Electives:
Students may take six additional epidemiology content course credits or six credits of approved courses from another MPH concentration. Courses outside of the approved list may be taken with permission of the MPH Program Director. APE and ILE courses:
