Computer Science (MBA/MS)


Program educational goals are those of the MBA program and those of the MS Computer Science program. 


Specifically:

Upon completion of the MBA program, graduates will be able to:

  1. Use data-driven analytics to make sound, evidence-based decisions;
  2. Frame and address problems through the use of integrative, critical and strategic thinking;
  3. Build effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills;
  4. Learn to design and use processes for competitive advantage;
  5. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and ethical leadership.

After completing the MS, graduates will be able to:

  • summarize the professional and ethical responsibilities related to computer and information sciences as measured by the successful completion of Responsible Conduct of Research training and the new graduate student colloquium (SIG-NEWGRAD)
  • identify, analyze, and solve a broad range of computer and information sciences problems using appropriate tools, techniques, approaches, and algorithms as measured by the successful completion of the breadth requirement
  • demonstrate a deeper understanding of a chosen area of computer and information sciences as measured by successful completion of the 800-level and seminar requirements
  • assess the impacts of computer and information sciences on society and a chosen discipline as measured by the successful completion of the elective requirement
  • optionally, if they select the thesis option, plan, conduct, present, and defend a research project as measured by the successful completion of the thesis examination

Lerner Core Requirements (for Dual Degree Programs Outside of Lerner)


Dual-Degrees with non-Lerner Programs:


A dual degree outside Lerner College requires 32 credits in the Business Administration MBA curriculum.

Students must also complete all the requirements for their non-Lerner graduate degree.
