Physics/Quantum Science and Engineering 4+1 (BS/MS)

Program Requirements

4+1 students will enter the M.S. in QSE degree program after completing the equivalent of 3 years of full-time course work in an undergraduate major at UD. The 4+1 program is available to UD undergraduate students from the programs listed below. Students should consult with their advisor early in the program to ensure they choose appropriate coursework. Students apply and are admitted to the 4+1 program as juniors (before they graduate). If admitted, during the course of their fourth year of study (or equivalent) they will take courses in the sequence required for earning an M.S. in QSE, with 9 of the earned credits simultaneously counting towards fulfilling the requirements of the undergraduate degree. Students successfully completing the program will ultimately earn a B.S. from an undergraduate degree program and an M.S. degree in QSE, both from UD.
