Program Educational Goals:
- Students will demonstrate practical application of knowledge and skills required for health evaluations and physical fitness assessments.
- Students will demonstrate practical application of knowledge and skills for exercise prescription development specific to adults with and without chronic health conditions.
- Students will use professional scientific statements and clinical guidelines issued by the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and the American Heart Association to support evidence-based practice in an exercise or physical activity setting.
- Students will demonstrate competence in the application of the scientific method, critical thinking, oral and written communication, and quantitative reasoning.
- Students will articulate possible professions and related abilities that will make them competitive in the workforce.

A grade below a B will not be counted toward the course requirements for a degree but is calculated in the student’s cumulative grade point average.
