Honors Degree Capstone Courses

Honors Capstone courses are approved by the Honors College. This course must be taken in one of the last 2 semesters prior to graduation to fulfill this requirement. Honors capstones must be completed for a minimum of 3 credits.

Only the courses on this list, when taken Honors, in the appropriate semester(s), satisfy the Honors Degree Capstone requirement. Honors Degree capstone courses are not offered pass/no pass, and students must earn a minimum grade of C-. Some, but not all, Honors Degree capstone courses may also serve as University capstone requirements.

The Honors capstone course is an academic experience, which builds upon earlier Honors coursework and serves as a culmination of the Honors experience. As a result, not all Honors capstone courses are discipline-specific but may be interdisciplinary courses (similar to other specialty Honors College offerings).  Courses approved for this purpose may take the form of traditional senior seminars but may also involve research, group projects, or other assignments that successfully integrate and synthesize the student learning and require reflection on the experience.

NOTE: The following is a list of courses eligible to satisfy the Honors capstone requirement; however, these courses are not always taught in Honors formats. For more details about the Honors Degree capstone courses being offered in a particular semester, please contact the Honors College at honors@udel.edu.
