Program Educational Goals
- Compare and contrast different healthcare professions and their roles/responsibilities as they relate to interprofessional cooperation and teamwork.
- Demonstrate core knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, including the structure and function of major body systems.
- Apply concepts from functional anatomy and biomechanics to the evaluation and treatment of sport-related injuries.
- Apply an understanding of physiological processes to the recognition, treatment, and prevention of sports-related conditions.
- Use information derived from the evaluation process to solve problems presented as case studies and patient scenarios.
- Implement the clinical evaluation process as it relates to sports health care. Clinical skills will include palpation and clinical assessment tests.
- Discover the area of injury prevention of athletic injuries, including taping and bracing skills.

Major Requirements:
Minimum grade C- in all requirements.
Restricted Electives:
Students will choose from the list of courses below during the senior year in order to fulfill the major requirements for the BS degree in Sports Health. A minimum of 9 credits must be taken.
Electives:
After required courses are completed, sufficient elective credits must be taken to meet the minimum credit requirement for the degree.
