German Studies Minor

Foreign Language Studies Minor

The Foreign Language Studies (FLS) minor requires participation in a UD Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures sponsored semester abroad program. See the Languages, Literatures and Cultures Study Abroad Coordinator for details and prerequisites. Credit requirements for the FLS minors are as follows:

Minor Requirements:

No more than six credits may be at the 200-level.
Minors in German Studies are required to take at least one literature course at the 300-level (or above).

Core Courses:

Two GRMN 2xx, 3xx, and/or 4xx courses (Newark campus only) (six credits).
GRMN 206 - Culture Through Conversation Credit(s): 3
or
GRMN 306 - Practical Oral/Written Expression Credit(s): 3
or
GRMN 406 - Advanced German Language Credit(s): 3

Salzburg semester program:

Four courses at the 200-, 300-, and 400-levels (12 credits).

Note:

A student cannot receive both a German Minor and a German Studies Minor.
