Economics and Applied Econometrics (MS)

Program Educational Goals:

Demonstrate mastery in the core areas of economics: microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics.
Demonstrate mastery in applied econometrics in various fields of economics.
Demonstrate understanding of contemporary econometric research methods and topics and issues in economics research.
Demonstrate ability to replicate existing economics research using appropriate methods.

Requirements for the Degree:

The MS degree requires 30 credit hours of graduate work, 18 of which are in six required courses: Microeconomic theory, Macroeconomic theory, three Econometrics courses, and a capstone research experience (research project or research-oriented advanced topics course).
