Program Educational Goals:
- Demonstrate mastery in the core areas of economics: microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics.
- Demonstrate mastery in applied econometrics in various fields of economics.
- Demonstrate understanding of contemporary econometric research methods and topics and issues in economics research.
- Demonstrate ability to replicate existing economics research using appropriate methods.

Requirements for the Degree:
The MS degree requires 30 credit hours of graduate work, 18 of which are in six required courses: Microeconomic theory, Macroeconomic theory, three Econometrics courses, and a capstone research experience (research project or research-oriented advanced topics course).
