Secondary STEM Education - Non-Certification (MS)

Program Educational Goals:


  1. Exemplify a professional-level ability to use research to select inclusive curriculum, assessments and pedagogical approaches that promote and encourage diversity in all its forms and support the growth of all their students.
  2. Demonstrate advanced content and pedagogical knowledge in their STEM content areas and apply that knowledge in their practices.
  3. Create and write-up a professional-level curriculum or research project, with guidance and support, that will contribute to their field of practice.

Requirements for the Degree:


Master of Science (M.S.) in Secondary STEM Education, with institutional recommendation for initial secondary teacher certification in a STEM field (grades 7-12 in agriscience, biology, chemistry, earth science, integrated science, physics, physical science, mathematics, or technology education.

Electives


Any combination of two 600 level or above courses in education (EDU) or in a content discipline. (8)

Credits to Total a Minimum of 30
